Our Activities
A visit of the organic farm is the highlight among the activities offered. The 1.5 acres of land, teems with varieties of fruits, spice and vegetables. You get explained about each of them and are given to try out the available seasonal fruits and vegetables!
For soft or short trekking experience you can trek through Sceva’s very own plantation area. Added to that hiking and fishing is also offered.
Guided trekking( Payable ) to the Varayattumudi, takes you though breathtaking views and the freshness of the air invigorates.
Just 5 km from the home, the Kallarkutty dam is almost like a private lake for you to do pedal boating, canoeing, Basket boat ( Kuttavanchi). Safety Jackets are available for those who wish to have a swim ! Watch the locals doing fishing, try yourself if you like, and take home the gold fishes that are plenty in the lake.
The Idukki Arch Dam ( larges of the kind in Asisa) is just an hour from Sceva’s Garden home. On weekends and holiday public entry is allowed to the dam and its surrogate dams Cheruthoni and Kulamavu, which jointly makes it the largest hydro-electric power project in India.
Visit to Aanakkulam (pond of the elephants): 45 km from SGH, at Aanakkulam you get to see elephants coming out of the jungle to drink water from that particular part of the river where the spring bubbles out sour water !
Visit to other tourist places like the Eravicolam National park, Maduppetty dam, Kundali Dam, Top Station, Tea Museum etc are other options. The Kathakali (dramatic dance of Kerala), Kalarippayattu ( martial arts of Kerala), An ayurvedic massage that refreshes you are easily accessible from Sceva’s Garden Home.
The magnificent Cheeyappara water fall and Valara water falls are just 30 minutes ride away.
